A.{Mr Adams} T. SPEEDOMETER CO., LTD. CONTINUATION. -2- Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. 21st May, 1935. We submit that the great risk of applying any kind of positive lubricant would be that the flexible drive would become over-supplied, with the consequent risk of oil being drawn into the instrument. We use Price's Vasogene A.{Mr Adams} grease on these inner cables and we have found that, so long as this grease is not allowed to lay up in stock on the flexibles for more than three to four months it retains its correct consistency, but, if the flexibles are in stock for a longer period than this, it tends to dry up. We would like to suggest that you give the new flexes a six months trial period, and we think it will be found that they will give less trouble as to noise than the present cables. Needless to state we are at your disposal for going further into this matter, if you wish. Always at your service, We beg to remain, Yours faithfully, For THE A.T. SPEEDOMETER CO. LTD A H Buckland Director. | ||
