Re: 20 HP. Chassis - Tyres.

Referring to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}17/W/10.7.28. we said therein :-

"Assuming that R.{Sir Henry Royce} agrees the suggestion, we should like to have as soon as possible, a set of 20" wheels so as to equip one of our cars with these and try them, and also to have as soon as possible, information as to our present commitments from the point of view of how soon a change could be made".

We should be glad to know how this matter is progressing, as you will have seen from subsequent memos that R.{Sir Henry Royce} is very keen on the introduction of these wheels and tyres.

We should also be glad of a reply to the point raised in the same memo, regarding the 10/47 axle, the point being that if the Technical officials at W. still wish to introduce this, we should like to have an opportunity of trying a car fitted with this ratio and 32 x 6" wheels and tyres, but pending the results, we feel that any steps in hand for the production of 10/47 axle, should be stopped, as we believe it will be found unnecessary with the 32 x 6" tyres.
