Messrs. Kelsey Hayes Wheel Co. Ltd.,
Dagenham Dock,
Essex.

For the attention of
A.{Mr Adams} Inglis, Chief Engineer.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your drawing and letter of 30th April. We are very sorry to hear of the extensive damage done to your factory.

We would like a drawing showing a section through the reinforcements mentioned in paragraph 3. of your letter, so that we can see just how much room there is for fixing the hub cover.

We are rather surprised at the experimental tool charge of £300. During your visit here last autumn, you said that experimental tool charges for the wheel which we required then would amount to about £80. Would the tools which you are now proposing be suitable for making the wheels on a production basis?

It appears that a set of wheels with 3½" rims could be made on the same dies as those used on the set of wheels which you recently made for us. All that is required is that both "hat" and rim should be drilled so that the former projects further out of the latter. We would like your views on this suggestion.

We are glad to hear the news concerning the aluminium rims for the 16" wheels.

Yours faithfully,
