Hydraulically Operated Tappets - J.3.

This confirms our suggestion to use white metal for the bearing surface inside the eccentric adjusting pieces, for the purpose of preventing seizure occurring due to the oil getting squeezed out.

We think these pieces could be bored out .015" to .02" all round, and this thickness of white metal added.

We have asked Hl. and he is of the opinion that it can be done.
