Waller. Reverting to your letter, D/BP/Y10/JR{Mr James Royce}, of the 7th instant, I deeply regret to inform you that upon the compulsory return of our representative from Dieppe, I am informed that although the coach work of the Rolls Royce car in question is at Dieppe, it is now impossible to ship it back to this country and owing to Enemy attacks, this body work must undoubtedly have been destroyed. I have enquired very fully into the position with out Dieppe representative but understand that the position is such that all hope of ever being able to retrieve anything in the nature of motorcars or property from Dieppe is now quite out of the question and our representative has therefore handed me the small bunch of keys belonging to the car. It therefore seems that the only thing to do in the circumstances is to let you have these keys and to withdraw all the papers from our Newhaven representative but before doing so, I shall be very glad to hear from you, and in the meantime, I greatly regret to be advised of your loss.
