X5940 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [redacted] EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}2/H14.1.26. re. 20-HP. Chassis Brake Release Trigger. This has been complained of by a customer on his new 20-HP Car, to the effect that it is very difficult and awkward to work, especially if one wears a thick glove, in spite of pulling the lever further back before releasing. An examination of the car revealed the fact that this mechanism was quite normal, but I certainly consider this complaint should receive attention, as the trigger is very awkward. The area is small and the pressure is high. I am not suggesting that we should have less pressure, but the suggestion is that the area of the plunger might be increased to advantage.
