X.3306. EFC2/AT14.8.18 To Mr. Coverley, From EFC. RE EXPERIMENTAL JOBS. We give below for your convenience a list, in the order of urgency, of experimental jobs on which we are waiting you. These are as follows:- 1. X.3173.-New platinum points for Battery Ignition for life tests of points. 2. X.3309.-Sparking point box for tests of sparking points in various materials. In connection with this experiment we have so far received pieces of .125" dia. wire in nickel, tungsten and nichrome. We have handed to you samples of the nickel wire and will hand to you pieces of tungsten and nichrome wire for this job. We hope to obtain some tantalum wire also. 3. X.3173.-Battery Ignition for Mr. Royce, made up according to our note EFC3/AT3.7.18. 4. X.3253.-Water pump rotor with radial vanes for new type water pump without diffuser. By9/P11.7.18. 5. X.3149.-Removable faces for gauges in connection with water flow meters. EFC2/T10.5.18. 6. X.3298.-Mercedes water pump for bench test. - To fit pulley. 7. X.3306.-Liberty Dynamo arranged for bench test. EFC1/AT2 8. X.3275.-Experimental magnex electro magnets. HEO1/H13318. X3129 There is also another job viz. - Coil "C" design for battery ignition, this, however, you may hold in abeyance for the present as in all likelihood we shall cancel this, having obtained a sufficiently good speed of operation with the "B" design.
