Hallam - Head Repairs}, who has mostly to deal with troubles caused by the worn valves and guides has tried a scheme of lubricating the valve guides positively from the extra oil supply. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} has particulars of this arrangement. We are sending round a standardisation sheets for replaceable valve guides of P.B. - these will help. We feel, however, that we shall never overcome the wear on the valve guides until arrangements are made to lubricate them.
