Loss of oil from 2-WJ. gearbox.

Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}1/MJ13.1.30. in this memo it is stated "that the loss of oil from the gearbox on production is very small".

The gearbox on "Phantom II" which we have in use are losing about one pint for every 250 miles. This does not appear to me to be either comparable with the small loss of the "Phantom I" or to come under the heading of being very small. What do you think ?
