-2- (b) It would be impossible to "improve" this car to make it worthy of R.R. reputation! The constructional practices employed on this car are foreign to R.R. We have all tried and examined this car and we are dissatisfied with it, and we suggest that it be returned to Sales for Sales Dept. to consider whether this is a suitable model for them. (c) The second answer dispenses with (c) The Committee were further of the opinion that in addition to the modernised 40/50 and the Goshawk II, it is necessary that a third model be designed which should aim at filling a bigger market than would be tapped by either of the above. The Committee recognize that it is wise to complete Goshawk II, hoping that the immediate sale of it would carry us over a vital part of the present depression, and with the further view that a third line should be produced as soon as possible after Goshawk II. Further, we think a policy must be found that would allow us to turn over our capital at the Works at least four times in the year. | ||
