Dear Sir,

We beg to thank you for your letter of the 20th instant going into the question of stelliting valves. The practice we have been following is almost identical to that outlined in your letter, the main difference being that we use standard 3/16" rods supplied by Deloro. Possibly this may account for some of the bad work we have been experiencing.

We sent 'for the attention of Mr. Grylls' some valves showing the defects that are troubling us after some hours service, and it is quite possible that after inspection you may have some further observations which will help locate the trouble.

We much appreciate your kindness in writing us so fully on the subject, and will be extremely grateful for your further observations on the four valves sent for inspection.

Yours faithfully,

ENGLISH RACING AUTOMOBILES LTD.
