Unfortunately the crux of the situation is that little can be done to cut down wind resistance without altering the appearance of the radiator. Some day it has got to be altered, so that we do not see why we should not get a little advanced information by allowing Paris to cover it in special cases, provided that we satisfy ourselves that the cooling is not adversely affected in the process.

We should expect an improvement equal to about 30 engine B.H.P. to be obtained by cleaning up a car on the lines of the Saloon Fiat illustrated on Page 348 of the Autocar of August 30th.

As a sign of the conditions, it is the exception to meet a French car today that has not the head lamps sunk either in the radiator grille or wings.

This Fiat is being raced by Mussolini's son. Another similar model won the Pescara sports car race.
