Yr ref SM/10595/C Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/ML. 10.9.40. C. Smith, Esq., Vickers-Armstrong Ltd., Supermarine Works, SOUTHAMPTON. Dear Mr. Smith, I have had a talk with our people regarding the tests of your mounting for the Griffon engine, and there does not seem to be any difficulty at all about testing these. Naturally, we should like particulars of the structure as soon as possible so that we can adapt it to the test plant. With regard to the power plant for your prototype aircraft, we anticipate that this will be available by the end of the year. We thank you for the drawings of the stirrup mounting for the gun rear support. Yours sincerely, | ||
