With further reference to Triptiques and International Passes for cars going on the Continent, in passing through this morning, Mr. Platford was under the impression that all he had to do was to go straight to the R.A.C. and get his papers.

You always give us enough time to fix up Triptiques, but we should like to draw your attention to the fact that we cannot take out an International Pass until the car and the driver have been examined, and this generally takes half an hour. If there were anything of a rush at the Club with cars going over to the Continent, the International Passes would possibly take five or six hours to prepare. In future, if a car is to be got away quickly, it should arrive at Conduit Street the previous afternoon about two or three o'clock, so that the driver of the car can go straight to the R.A.C., get examined, and the complete papers could then be ready by 10 o'clock the next morning.

However, this morning we got the R.A.C. officials to pass these through at once, to enable Mr. Platford to get away, but we must not do this any more. We hope that you will in future, see your way to have the cars down here by 2 o'clock on the previous afternoon before they cross.

C.
