To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} 300a (Chateauroux) Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}12/AP.1.5.37 We have wired you to instruct Scholes to return to Derby. As regards 35-EX., when Dixon has completed his investigations on this car and is quite sure that no further information can be obtained from it in France, he should drive it back to Derby. We want to make sure that the car does not return until all the information required has been obtained. It is obviously easier to do vapour lock experiments in France than in England. We understand from GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} on the 'phone than Pennel will be bringing back 6.B.1V. when it is runnable. As regards the gearbox stay on 35.EX., we do not understand what you mean by saying this has end slack, as it certainly should not have any slack in any direction. Will you please send us a sketch of the trouble. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
