re. FRAMED INSTRUMENTS. X8530

We would be glad to know how the 6 sets - which were to be ready by this years Motor Show - have been progressing.

We also understand that a set of framed instruments with interior lighting to our design has been made with a cream mount instead of a black one. While we appreciate that it is necessary to investigate these matters of taste, yet we hasten to point out that the arrangement of framed instruments which R.{Sir Henry Royce} has approved, and which we wish to be submitted to Sales for their approval and standardisation, is that having the cream dials which have been obtained by Derby, and an egg-shell black mount. Apart from our not liking the cream mount down here, it must be remembered that many cheap cars such as the Morris-Oxford have framed patches of instruments with interior illumination, and cream mounts.
