844 821 To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} C. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/MJ.2.3.32. Re. Alfa-Romeo Car. Replying to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}17/E29.2.32. We have not been able to carry out our tests on the Alfa, but we have completed taking particulars of all the details of the car. The blower rig has been held up because of a break-down with the engine which drives it. I have discussed this matter with E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} and he thinks it is a pity that we are getting rid of the car because he has just now started on the 'Bensport' and it would be very useful to refer to it. We shall get the most value out of the Alfa when we come to run a 'Bensport'. I think we have either got to decide to put it together and get rid of it right away, or that we will keep it until we have the 'Bensport'. I have asked E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} to write to you and give you his views. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
