1033. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GR.{George Ratcliffe}1/JH. 14th September, 1937. The Zenith Carburettor Co.Ltd., Honeypot Lane, Stanmore, Middlesex. For the attention of Mr.A.E.Palmer. Dear Sirs, 30 H.P.D.C42. Carburettor. We are still having serious complaints with sticking choke valves on the above carburettor. The new spring E.61387 is certainly an improvement but is not in itself a complete cure. The worst feature is that the butterfly has to centralize or locate itself i.e. without guides. This allows the butterfly to dig into the soft alloy of the carburettor body and jam solid. Will you please ask your Mr.Fisher to call as soon as possible, this matter being in urgent need of attention. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
