TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to GJ. c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} ORIGINAL. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M27.1.23. RE. "SEAGULL" FRAME SIDE MEMBERS. X9390 We send herewith N.sch. 1373 showing the quarter size detail of the frame side members. It will be understood that the dumb irons at each end are in a state of flux, therefore, though we have given you dimensions it is possible that when we do the details we may wish to alter them slightly but we think the material given will cover our maximum requirements. We have shewn the position of the cross members as they are at present fixed. Any modifications which it is found necessary to make should be notified to us. This drawing also gives you the diameters etc, of the cross member tubes, so that the material can be placed on order. The transmission line is shewn as we are at present working. This is liable to slight modification. Would you please send us 3 prints of this scheme instead of the usual one? DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 27 JAN 1923 RECEIVED | ||
