Experimental Expenditure.

We are not relaxing our efforts to do away with the servo. With this object in view we are arranging to test out the double leading shoe brake recently designed by Capt. Irving. Leylands are experimenting with this brake, and we have also tried one on a Rover car. Its big advantages are that it is a progressive self-energising brake and both the shoes do an equal amount of work.

We have agreed to pay Capt. Irving £25 for producing experimental brakes to this design for test.
