To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. Ds/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} PH. CX.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} c. By/CEh. WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Y6032 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/ADS7.2.32. H.F. ELECTRIC HORNS. Messrs. Lucas have now produced a medallion type H.F. electric horn embodying the best features of the Bosch and existing Lucas horns. They have been able to do this by virtue of their trade agreement with the German Bosch Co. We have tested this horn and it is a considerable improvement over any existing types of either Lucas or Bosch horns we have tested, and we are arranging to fit it to exptl. chassis 19-GIV for test. As it is most important to have an extremely rigid non vibrating support for these horns in order to obtain maximum sound, the head lamp supports are not suitabl and in fact the operation of the horn might damage the head lamp filament. We have found the front chassis cross member to be the most suitable place for mounting these horns, as on 18-GIV. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/wst. | ||
