Re suitable Oils for use in Russia.

Mr Parsons. 5.2.15.

In reference to your letter WP/1115, we may say that we are very well satisfied with Price's oils; we have made comparative tests between them and a great many other makes and they appear to us to be quite satisfactory.

We give below the characteristics of Motorine B & C and also Amber gear oil A.{Mr Adams}

| | Motorine B. | Motorine C. | Amber Gear Oil. |
| :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- |
| Sp.{Mr Spinney}Gr.{George Ratcliffe} at 60ºF.{Mr Friese} | .896 | .903 | .893 |
| Visc. at 60ºF.{Mr Friese} | 4860 | 2830 | - |
| " " 130ºF.{Mr Friese} | 398 | 274 | 510 |
| " " 212ºF.{Mr Friese} | 86 | 63.4 | 95.5 |
| Flash Point (Close) | 480ºF | 440ºF | 490ºF |
| Setting Point. | 36ºF | 25ºF | 65ºF |
| Free fatty Acids. | .22% | .34% | .17% |
| Evaporation on exposure for 1.hr at 370º F.{Mr Friese} | 1.4% | 1.45% | 1.2% |

Any oil which will satisfy the above should be satisfactory.

Mcr.
