To EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} from BJ. -> Copy to.... Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} Y8980 BJ8/H12.11.25. Re Sir Albert Bingham: 49-RO.{C. C. Rose - Export Manager} The following is a copy of a letter received by Messrs. Hooper from Sir Albert Bingham concerning the above chassis, which I understand is receiving attention at Derby. B.J. Ranby House, Near Retford, Notts. Messrs. Hooper & Co. Ltd. Dear Sirs, Very annoying! The new Rolls has to go to Derby - oiling up badly - began before I got her home after leaving you at Grantham, in the original plugs she did it every time out, not quite so bad on K.L.G's. Saw Rolls-Royce London when up last week and have been writing Derby; result they sent for the car on Monday to put right, but Lord what will the bodywork be like, and the varnish, wings off and all that I expect, and inconvenience and expense, nice thing in "THE" car, isn't it? You need not trouble Rolls, they have had enough through me. They are very nice about it of course, but that doesn't improve the facts. Yours sincerely, (Signed) Albert Bingham. | ||
