Dear Sirs, We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 29th instant. We have no catalogue at present dealing with aircraft batteries, although one is in preparation. In the meantime we are sending you a price sheet describing various standard types. With regard to your query re an aircraft type 12-volt battery capable of giving 50 consecutive discharges of 180 amperes of 10 seconds duration or approximately 8½ minutes, our nearest battery would be 6-XC15, which will deliver 181 amperes for 10 minutes to 1.57 volts per cell. We have assumed that it is not necessary to consider an unspillable cell but that the battery in question is intended for civil aviation work, for which we have already supplied a number of XC batteries.
