It should then be possible to examine all the tanks that are at present in existence and formulate a basis for a new design. Mr. Robotham said that he hoped there would be no obstruction from Lord Beaverbrook, should the fact that Rolls Royce were assisting on tank design come to his ears. They had previously had experience that Lord Beaverbrook did not like Rolls Royce working on anything except aviation engines. Mr. Hives said that this particular project would in no way interfere with any aviation work and was simply a contribution towards the war effort, therefore there would be no question of Lord Beaverbrook taking exception to it.
