x 2002 P To RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}, Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} S/JH. 9. 7. 36. B-22 Unit (6-B-IV). This unit is now having the gears quietened by the production people following its test on the bed. When returned to you, will you please carry on the following - Nos. 2, 4 and 5 valves come choc a bloc in the full valve lift position, the remaining valves are clear and have .020" - .030" clearance, Nos. 2,4 and 5 to be made similar. We understand that the 3.865 inlet valves which we asked for are not ready. These to be fitted as soon as possible. Water leaks from cylinder head front plate; side water plates in block past the screws. Specification plate on cylinder head fouls rocker cover causing an oil leak. New leather seal to be fitted in oil filler cap. Adjustment of oil pressure has been made by using 2 alum washers under the ball valve cap on the wheelcase, these to be replaced by 1 washer of same .080" thickness.
