Re. Lord Londesborough - 74-MS.

Replying to H.24/H28.12.32.

We are not in a position to recommend any alterations as a guarantee for a genuine 90 M.P.H. out of the Continental Phantom.

The best we can do for Lord Londesborough is to give him one of the latest Phantom 11 engine units which are now being fitted as standard on Continental cars.

When we have done that we know that the car will not lap Brooklands at 90 M.P.H. but it should do about a genuine 87 or 88 M.P.H..

It may be that if the unit in 74-MS. has not been run any distance, it could be used up on a standard car.
