MORGANITE TRADE MARK IN REPLY PLEASE REFER TO Z DEPT zh/WH 1st January, 1929. Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sirs, Starter Motor Brushes Style D71279. With reference to your letter of the 27th inst. EFC4/T, our metallic brush with the lowest coefficent of friction is Link CM5H which has a higher graphitic content than Link CM3. We note it is your wish to avoid reducing the tension of the pressure springs. In the event of the mechanical resistance proving too high even with Link CM5H we think you should give the question of a reduction of pressure every consideration as the reduction in total friction will be greater than the reduction in the pressure since with these grades the coefficient of friction increases with pressure. Yours faithfully, THE MORGAN CRUCIBLE COMPANY LIMITED per:- [Signature] OW | ||
