Lidsey}1/HP7.3.34. which answered our queries raised in CXS/KW22.2.34. Re paragraph 2 and your proposal to incorporate in the instrument panel itself the switch for operating the instrument board lights, I would like to mention that we are now trying a scheme of instrument board lay-out and decoration which entirely covers the panel. Our latest scheme, which is very attractive, is a piece of well selected walnut beautifully polished with holes cut through just to show the faces of the dials. If we adopted that policy in future then possibly the switch which you have in mind for the instrument panel would not be a suitable type to permit of it being covered in that way. I am just mentioning this as guide to you that we shall not probably always have the instrument panel exposed as at present. It may be therefore preferable in these circumstances to make this switch for instruments one that could be put in any convenient position. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} | ||
