20 HP. GEAR BOX WITH RIGHT-HAND CHANGE SPEED AND BRAKE.
We had the first of these gearboxes running on a car yesterday. It appeared to perform satisfactorily except that the continuous and the first and second speed gears were very noisy.
There are one or two points in connection with the gearbox which may need attention.
There appears to be no release in the Bushes for the selector rods, in 1st. speed & reverse so that they form an effective trap for oil and air.
We propose taking the car fitted with this gearbox to W.W. early next week so that the features on it can be discussed.
