X4308 EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} c to RY W'ton. SH ROY {Sir Henry Royce} /JT1/HP20.6.28. Upon receipt of yours EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/T15.6.28, we returned to the A.T. Speedometer Co.Ltd. Instrument No.B.563 with a complaint that the hand sticks at different points on the scale. Makers have duly acknowledged our complaint and below we give you a copy of their letter "GOB/W" of 18th inst. for information etc. "We have very carefully checked this instrument and can find nothing wrong with it whatever, and can only assume that when the instrument was received by yourselves the Hair Spring must have been misplaced." "We have run this instrument for 50 miles and have carried out small vibration tests on it but have not come across the trouble which you mention. We trust, therefore, that when we return it to you you will be able to carry out the tests as referred to in your letter ROY {Sir Henry Royce} /JT15/HP". ROY {Sir Henry Royce} | ||
