The Zenith Carburetter Co. Ltd.,
40-42, Newman Street,
London. W.1.

For the attention of Mr. T.L. Turner.

Dear Sir,

You will recollect at the beginning of last year we purchased from you a 105.DC. twin carburetter. since then we have conducted various experiments on this carburetter. we have now reached the stage where we think it would be profitable if you sent one of your experts down to discuss the results that we have obtained.

Briefly, at the moment the outstanding objection to the carburetter is the amount of noise that it makes. we ourselves have as yet made no attempt to silence it for we consider that you have the exact knowledge of the best type of silencer to fit to this carburetter, also as to the distribution difficulty that we may run into with our particular type of intake manifold.

While your representative is here we can discuss the metering characteristics obtained on the test bed and also provide him with a road test. we have in mind that after this discussion we can make any alteration to the induction system etc. that you representative may suggest, and would then either hand over a car here for him to work on so he can get the best possible results on the road, or alternatively we might let you have a car in London, if you feel that any great advantage would be obtained from this arrangement. Naturally however, we have one or two features on the car which are of a confidential nature.

You will appreciate that our requirements in the matter of a carburetter are rather abnormal, but we do feel that the instrument that you submitted to us shews sufficient promise to be worth bringing up to the highest stage of perfection that you can obtain with a view to it being submitted to our chief designer.
