(7) The capability of holding a static charge should again be verified.

(8) The condenser should again be tested for final capacity, when the milli-amperes taken at 200 volts 50.7~ for a condenser temperature of 18°C shall lie between the limits 17.5 and 21.0. For other atmospheric temperatures, the limits must be increased or reduced proportionally at the rate of 1.5% per °C.

These allowable limits should also be increased or reduced proportionally if the voltage is not exactly 200.
Note:- Corresponding capacity limits at 18° .275 to .325 mf.

(9) The condensers should be given a short run on an otherwise standard distributor and sparking rig, with a view to observing the degree of sparking at the contact points.
A condenser with a faulty connection will generally shew bad sparking.

(10) The capacity of the condenser should be checked at a temperature of 45°C, and should fall within the limits .41 to .52 mf. It should also be ascertained that at this temperature, the condensor is still capable of holding a static charge for a time long enough to observe this on causing the condenser to discharge.
