To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} V5300 GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}1/LG7.11.27. SLIPPER WHEELS. X5300 Y356 The results of the bench tests taken with a slipper wheel fitted with cotton duck friction rings are very promising. We do not get the heavy initial load which is experienced with bakelite or fibre. We should be pleased if you would order for us six sets of this material in the 16 ozs. and 20 ozs. for Phantom and the 20 HP. The piece numbers of the rings are E.70792 and E.53172.
