Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,
Derby.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 6th instant with regard to tests on spring interleaving, and would inform you that these have run continuously since your last visit. You will recollect that five or six different types of material were to be tested on our rig and that each type was to be given 50-hrs. running. We anticipate finishing the series in about one weeks' time from now, and then propose sending you the samples, together with our report and curves of the friction values.

So far as we can see at present the plain board with wax impregnation gives the most consistent and lowest μ. However, we think it will be well worth while waiting until the story is completed.

Yours faithfully,
FERODO LIMITED.

W.E. Shilton

Manager
