Hancock - Head Chateauroux}2/KW.18.2.36. 21-0-IV. Tests in London Traffic with lightened type Borg & Beck Clutch - 266 miles. Load on clutch pedal to depress - 37 lbs, as against 40 lbs. with present standard clutch. The car was driven in the London traffic for 4 days. We had no sign of clutch slip during this period. The measurement on the clutch pedal did not show any wear to have taken place. The engagement of the clutch was smooth up to the last day, when jaggering occurred with a quick getaway using second gear when clutch was half engaged. Further engagements did not reproduce the jaggering. Ha/G.W.Hancock. | ||
