CHASSIS - RE USE OF ENOTS LUBRICATING SCHEME BY COMBINATION OF PRESSURE OIL PUMP USED BY HAND WITH SPECIAL LUBRICATORS SUITABLE FOR CONNECTING UP TO SAME.

There seems to be considerable confusion at the moment as to what our lubrication scheme should really be for Goshawk 11. I am aware that you are strongly pushing the Enots lubricators referred to above, but so far we have received no special instructions from R, that this is to be generally adopted, but it appears to me that the following items at least should have the special Enots lubricator in place of the varying types instructed on the LeC's, in order to permit of the use of the Enots oil pressure hand pump:-

(1) All spring shackles and pivots for same.
(2) Pivots for front axles.
(3) Bearings for rear brake shafts.
(4) Cross & side steering tubes.
(5) Front & Rear Shock Absorbers.

There are one or two places where lubrica[tion]
are used which I think would have to be maintain[ed {J. L. Edwards} at]
present, namely:-

(1) Lubrication of Universal Ball Joint.
(2) Lubrication of Steering Worm.

The above points come to my mind in just giving the matter a hasty consideration - there may be others under both headings. We would like to have some definite information as to what is really proposed, so that we can issue precise instructions to the D.O. which are in accordance with R's and your own views on the matter.
