To- Dr. Copy to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}1/MN. 7.5.36. Wraith II Engine. We send you herewith the following drawings:- LeC 5014. - Rear Engine Support Feet. These are now simple aluminium arms on the crankcase for supporting the engine when working on the gearbox, and they take the place of the trunion sockets which were heavy and expensive. LeC 5065. - Torque reaction dampers. LeC 5056. - Starting Handle Bracket and Bearing. LeC 5021. - Front Engine Arms. LeC 5057. - Front Engine Mounting. It will be noticed that the engine arms are rubber mounted direct to the frame, which deletes the bearer tubes and cross member on the 25/30 H.P. The wheelcase for the dynamo drive has been stiffened up considerably so as to avoid deflection of the casting when machining. This has been a point of criticism on the current cars. LeC 5046. - Front Expansion Box. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} Att:LeC.5014.LeC.5021. LeC.5065.LeC.5057. LeC.5056.LeC.5046. | ||
