With regard to No.1. we certainly have experienced similar trouble, but in our case have found that the trouble is due to the choking of the filter or carburetter jets themselves with foreign matter. [Handwritten: Mr Wallymon] This is a point which, I take it, will be discussed and H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} and I should be glad if the question of a reply to this memo could be considered.

With regard to No.2. This also is a general complaint on our 20-HP cars, and the only recommendation we have so far been able to make is doping of the brake drums with powdered graphite. This we have not published universally but only for the special information of our Depots in case they experience similar trouble. As a matter of fact we understand that this matter is still having the attention of the Experimental Dept.
