Dear Sirs,
We have pleasure in acknowledging receipt of your letter of the 20th instant, which was placed before Mr.Matravers. Due to the fact that Mr.Matravers has only just returned from the U.S.A. and in consequence is extremely pressed for time dealing with technical matters referring to his visit, he has asked the undersigned to reply to your letter, and begs you to excuse him in this instance.
The 3/16" x 3/16" parallel rollers referred to is a non standard size for us, being used in your cages only. However, we have a batch of 300 surplus (these are exactly as received from our Suppliers - The Hoffman Company) and these are being sent along to you to-day. No doubt you will arrange to let us know the results of your examinations in due course and we await your report with interest.
We are also sending for the attention of Mr.Hardy a sample of our special lubricant as used by us in the punching of the taper splines in our Drop Arms.
