3.B.50.

When B.V. No.3 unit is removed from 29.G.VI in order to install B.60 No.2 unit in this chassis we propose to bring B.V. No.3 unit up to date and install in the above 3.B.50 chassis.

The assembly specification should be as follows, plus any faulty parts revealed on inspection.

(1) Existing main bearings if in good condition.
(2) Existing connecting rods if crack test O.K., likewise big ends which are not flanged if in good condition.
(3) Raised crown pistons (P.452) which Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} will supply; these with .030 gasket giving a comp. ratio 6.0 : 1.
(4) Modified cored cylinder block EW.1923.
(5) Modified cored cylinder head EW.1922.
(6) .030 Klingerit cylinder head gasket which Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} will supply, EW.1933.
(7) Fit RCD.1022 top valve spring seal washers.
(8) Rolls-Royce distributor to be fitted having Bentley V governor characteristic.
(9) Inspect and measure timing gears for backlash.
(10) Up to date induction system to LOP.EB.42)) to be fitted. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation} to supply carburetters.
(11) Flywheel and clutch to be specified by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/NRC.{N. R. Chandler}
