Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. 2/KT. 8. 2. 33. 20/25 INSTRUMENT ILLUMINATION. We are all agreed here that the existing illumination is poor and the D.O. have designed an instrument board with deeper reflecting surfaces, and with a more economical and efficient distribution of the light which we consider will be a distinct improvement. Our opinion is, however, that satisfactory illumination without direct glare is difficult to obtain with the existing scheme, and we are all in favour of glass edge illumination which gives a neat aureal of light on the dial without glare. This scheme of course necessitates instruments with individual glasses bu which of course could have one common glass front in addition if so desired. We are arranging to inspect the Buick instrument patch sometime this week. The existing standard 20/25 instrument patch is of course identical to the one which you agreed to when I came up to Sales last year. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
