Oyl - G 18721 Sheet #5. There are millions of this type of distributor running in the U.S. with simple brass jump electrodes, generally the six electrodes in the cap being brass wire and the cap much smaller than the Bosch, especially in the cheaper sets. We note that the Lanchester fits one of these small cheap looking distributor heads on the new cars, possibly a Remy. Presumably the effect of a few thousandths variation in gap in the atmospheric air of the distributor, is negligible as compared with the possible errors in gap in the spark plug working under high pressure. (7) General - The ignition sent on 4-EX was modified by the American Bosch Co. to drawings supplied by us, the shaft being increased in diameter to fit over our governor spindle and the cam increased in the bore to suit. All perishable parts are standard, however, and can be obtained from stock at any of the Bosch Service Stations. MO/G Yours truly, ROLLS-ROYCE OF AMERICA, Inc. Per M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Olley | ||
