Dear Sirs, We have pleasure in sending to you under separate cover a piece of Interleaving which we have used on our Bump Rig test working under the conditions which you inspected, namely, with a tank filled with grit, dirt, water, etc. For your guidance this interleaving was placed between the main leaf and the second leaf of a spring 1 3/4" wide working at the same stress figures as those which you saw tested. This interleaving is half the thickness of the Spauldite and has been subjected to 78,000 oscillations, which is equivalent to over 15,000 mile road test. We feel that possibly you might be interested in using this material for the shorter leaves instead of our own material. If so, we would be only too happy to arrange to forward on to you a few sample pieces for your own use. This interleaving, of course, is less money than the thicker Spauldite, but slightly more than our own material. You will notice at the end that there are two slight indentations on the interleaf. This was caused by the fact of a Clip being placed at the end of the second leaf. We would be glad if after inspection you would kindly return this interleaf to us, and we thank you in anticipation.
