-2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rml/AD20.4.31 contd. we have recapitulated the information that we have obtained from this experiment because we consider that the results so far obtained shew that the Americans are justified in employing this type of construction on the score of efficiency as well as to reduce production cost. It must be borne in mind that if the more rigid construction allowed us to increase the M.E.P. by 3 lbs/sq.in. without increased vibration, it would more than offset the effect of the additional weight on the acceleration of the complete car.
