S. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LTD., Cricklewood Works, London, N.W.2. D2. 15th. December, 1933. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited, Nightingale Road, Derby. Dear Sirs, Your Mr. G.W. Whyman called at these Works a few days ago in connection with Jackall Jacks fitted to a Rolls-Royce car CH.8034, and he found he was very short of Petrol and had insufficient money to pay. Therefore, we supplied him with 17 gallons and we attach hereto our covering invoice 11389/1, for the amount of £1/1/7d. You will doubtless appreciate, since we have no licence for selling Petrol we are of course, prohibited from charging the ordinary retail price, and in view of these circumstances, we are debiting this to you at our special cost price, and we are wondering whether perhaps, you would like to pay for this particular item separately so that we may clear our records.
