(2) To conclude, we must thank Mr. Hives for his excellent report with which we thoroughly agree. I suggest strengthening our purely technical staff, which one thinks is far better than the average of British Companies, and shews that our apparent extravagance in this direction is really our strength, and that economies must be made in other directions, and by increasing the efficiency of this technical staff, which I am pleased to say I think far better than even a few years ago.
