Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., Derby. For the attention of Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} West. Dear Sirs, We beg to refer to your esteemed favour of the 9th inst., and would report that we are dispatching to you to-day, under separate cover, a speedometer fitted with the new proposed type of total mileage, which does away with the Veeder meter, thus using the total mileage the same discs as at present in the trip. This instrument is calibrated for 838 Revs. per mile, and will be dispatched to you with a flexible cable suitable for 20/25 H.P. chassis. I understand that you intend to give this instrument a run, in order to be satisfied that the new type total mileage is quite satisfactory. We trust, therefore, that we shall hear further from you in due course. Yours faithfully, For THE A.T. SPEEDOMETER CO. LTD [Signature of H.R. Buckland] Director.
