SPORTS PHANTOM - 10-EX. X8880

We understand there is some question whether it is necessary to spend £340 on alterations to the body of 10-EX.

The object of these modifications is to obtain information as regards the possibility of reducing the windage of a touring car without materially affecting the comfort of the occupants. It is considered that the proposed alterations represent the absolute minimum if we are to obtain the information we require.

Mr. R.{Sir Henry Royce} is anxious that the car should be built and he is expecting us to have it ready when he returns at the end of April.

We recommend this work is carried out. The body on 10-EX is very little use as it is. After the modifications have been carried out, it will be very useful for obtaining experimental data.

At the present time 10-EX chassis is at Derby. We are removing certain parts on the chassis and propose then to return it to Messrs. Parkers for them to carry out their work.
