ORIGINAL TO BY FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} (crossed out) DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/M4.12.23. c. to CI c. to RC{R. Childs} c. to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 40/50 - FOUR WHEEL BRAKES. X9940 (handwritten) FRONT DUMB IRON. We send herewith N.scheme 1708., shewing a suggestion for providing a stop on the front shackle in the event of the spring breaking. We intend the front dumb iron to be the same as instructed on N.scheme 1707 and generally the same as that on N. scheme 1468., except that the width of the shank will be different because now we wish to cut less off the front end of the frame. We expect that this front dumb iron will be very similar to N.scheme 1496., and we should like Derby to set it out. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
